What do I mean by that?
Two faculties are exclusive to human beings on this planet.
Memory and Imagination.
We create every second of our lives by utilizing these, unique to humans, abilities:
Remembering the Past and Visualizing the Future.
There is nothing else between these two 'states' of being, which could be viewed as 'warehouses' of resources.
We create the in-between (our lives) by moving ourselves back and forth between these two states,
Memory is a 'warehouse' of Experience.
Imagination is a 'warehouse' of Possibilities.
Memory is the sum of the knowledge we have accumulated and is Limited.
Imagination is the sum of our ambition and freedom and is Unlimited.
The tricky part is getting in and out of these warehouses, taking what we need for the moment, returning to our reality, and shutting the doors behind us as we leave.
[Sometimes, we get stuck longer in one of these warehouses or move from one to the other without returning to real life... and that is a dangerous state.]

As a video editor, if you can intentionally and consciously, tap into your Memory and Imagination, you will always be Unique and Innovative.
